G Chord
The G Chord might seem to be a bit of a challenge at first, but it is a fairly common chord. To an untrained hand it will be a bit tough at first but as your fingers loosen up you will have no problems with it, and it shouldn't take you long to do it either.
Your fingers must be stretched a bit so it will take some practice to get it right, some people find it easier than others, but it's ok if you find that you must try several times to get it. You will eventually feel the stretch of the fingers coming easier every time.
There are more than one way to play the G Chord, the best one being you using your first finger pressing the 5th string on the second fret, your second finger pressing the 6th string on the second fret and your third finger pressing the 1st string on the same fret. Try it a couple of times until it sounds clean to you, try playing each string at a time and making the necessary adjustments.
If you had learned or discovered alternative on how to play this chord feel free to continue to use it, because the main idea is for you to get the right sound playing the chord however you feel good doing so. Some people swap their third an second fingers. While some find the alternative a bit more difficult. Of course, we encourage you to try both and to practice both ways in order for you to find the right on for you.
There are cases of people that might have injuries or bent fingers. But in most cases practice and persistence can overcome any obstacle.
Once you are ready with the G Chord, move on to the next chord.
